My Doctor Made Me a Drug Addict!

Well after taking all my pain meds I think my Dr. is an evil, evil man and is trying to make me a drug addict! I swear! I am going through withdrawals and now have to take a newbenzodiazepines just to cope with the side effects of the withdrawal. Health care in America! LOVES IT! Any tips on how to get through the withdrawals? Leave a comment thanks!
Norco is “Lortab”……you’re getting 10mg of hydrocodone either way. 60mg of hydrocodone/day (especially taking 20mg/dose) for a week down to nothing isn’t good. Also 20mg of hydrocodone is equivalent to shooting heroin. I assume you got alprazolam or clonazepam…lorazepam? You won’t OD on benzodiazepines…don’t worry. Also, your detox from the hydrocodone will end very soon. The Norco should have been prescribed to be taken AS NEEDED rather than two at a time. You’ll be OK.

@robertdave It says 325mg on the bottle. I took 6 a day for almost 2 weeks. Thanks for the tips and yeah I hope this withdrawal ends VERY SOON! I ended up falling asleep editing the video and woke up at 8pm. *ugh*

don’t say you’re “nauseous” unless you’re truly sure that individuals get sick at the site of you…otherwise, say “the drugs made me nauseated”.

@knolselderij The bottle says “Take one-two tablet every 4 to 6 hours as needed.” And I did that until my foot pain went away.
lol dont listen to your doctor you take pain pills when you need them.if urfoot hurtsyou take one seehow u feel. dont let yourdoctor tell you how bad it hurts, think for yourself. and your nota drug addict. take a bottle everyother day for the next few weeks.thenyou can be an addict like me.
@ReallyRick Norco and Lortab are both 10mg hydrocodone and 325mg acetaminophen. If you ever have to take hydrocodone for pain again, I’m sure you’ve heard of “Vicodin”…..that’s 7.5mg of hydrocodone and it’s considered “strong.” You were taking 20mg per dosage. I’m glad you’re feeling better!! Sleep is good!!
Yeah, I see this all the time. I work in a pharmacy and it’s insane how overly medicated America is. You’ll get through it.. just be careful and try stopping as soon as possible.
It said take as needed, so you should have stopped as soon as your foot stopped hurting and I bet it stopped hurting way b4 you got thru all 50 pills in the bottle.
You were prescribed Ativan or Xanax or Valium, because you are clearly anxious. There are many ways you can resolve your stress without taking more medication. Try visualization, distraction, or talk therapy. When you need the benzos, take them. Ask yourself why you had issues with the pain meds, when the vast majority of people take them as prescribed and stop without problems. Focus on that anxiety. Good luck.
@younghickory83 Thank you for the advice. I was prescribed one of the less dangerous Benzo in terms of addictiveness so I am not worried.

Ok yes perhaps too many prescriptions given can be an issue…… B|UT only if you take them…… so if your that worried dont take any of them and suck it up and deal with the pain….then….. no problem…. geeze
