Whoa! I can’t believe Chris Wallace and Fox News managed to secure a 30-minute interview with America’s most prominent conservative!
That’s what happens when the Obama administration cuts them off.
Who else are they gonna talk to?
To borrow a favorite phrase of the Left, Rush “speaks truth to power.”
Thank God for Rush!
“How do you insure the uninsured”? YOU DON’T. The Gov should NOT be subsidizing (paying for) anyone’s health care costs – whether they’re insured or not is irrelevant. People should be investing in themselves not the Gov or Big Corps. And if Rush was a true conservative he wouldn’t be buying into that two party system BS.
Rush exposes the communist’s subterfuge.
Interesting view Limbaugh has on the motives behind the healthcare bill. Too bad its pure speculation and has zero evidence (leaked memos or otherwise or anything really) in support of it. Maybe the fact that you’re 40% more likely to die early if you lack insurance vs matched controls has something to do with it (real evidence btw, not opinion or speculation). And where is Rush getting 12 million from? If he’s making claims like this he should be sourcing his numbers.
This apocalyptic health care reform will raise taxes on EVERY single American, not just the rich but the middle class and the poor. As well as cost EVERYONE 8%-12% of there yearly income or be fined $1000 each year for not signing up with the government force health plan. If the liberal numbers are correct (not likely) but if they are, 15 million Americans STILL WILL NOT BE COVERED with this so-called health care reform and doesn’t seem to matter to the liberals or democrats!!!
Rush is getting his numbers from the U.S. Census. There are about 47 million people without health insurance. If you subtract the 9.5 million illegal immigrants, 17 million who earn more than $50,000 and can afford their own coevreage, 18 million under the age of 34 or the 50% of the uninsured that are only without insurance for a few months, you’re only talking about 12 million uninsured – at worst.
If I’m a republican politician looking to improve things in my district, state, city or whatever, I gotta be frustrated with Limbaugh. He criticizes and riles but give no specific recommendations or detailed explanations on how to improve things. Just more lofty, abstract slogans about what conservatism is supposed to do. Meanwhile, real problems go unresolved. Now, if all I care about is gaining seats or keeping my cushy job, I love Rush b/c he keeps my base riled and I get reelected.
First off, I gotta give props to you for actually discussing the numbers. But why do assume that people making 50,000 a year or more can afford premiums? Where did the 50,000 mark come from; if you take a skeptical view of bankruptcy data, at least 1/4-1/3 of all cases are due to medical expenses, then 50,000 seems too low (but maybe I’m wrong). Secondly those that can afford insurance premiums are not necessarily receiving benefits for various reasons, so the REAL uninsured # is higher.
Just a quick FYI regarding 6:43. Did Limbaugh just claim that Fox News is indeed conservative media (as Chris Wallace and Bill O’Reilly are fond of denying? He certainly lumped them in with self-described conservative media (talk radio & blogs). Interesting.
The Hillmestein study the Left sites regarding medical bankruptcies has flawed methodology. The study counted any bankruptcy that included medical bills (no matter how tiny the amount) as a medical bankruptcy. It also counted any bankruptcy caused by losing a job for medical reasons – even if there were zero medical bills – as a medical bankruptcy.
I suggest taking a closer look at that study.
Does this mean Republicans will finally be concerned about civil liberties?
