Here’s something else to think about. Alcohol is one of the few drugs that the withdrawl from it (if you are a chronic alcoholic) can actually KILL you, yes KILL you. DTs are no good friends, no good at all.
yes thats a board question: which is the most lifethreatening withdrawal
a) cocaine
b) heroin
c) cannabis
d) alcohol
answer: d due to withdrawal seizures
alcohol is the shittiest drugs
good god
it suckjs
I think you should have also pointed out the danger of mixing alcohol with various legal drugs (antidepressants, etc.). Many people tend to mix these when they really wanna “just forget it all”, if you know what i mean
I have a question about alcohol. I am paranoid schizophrenic and the only drug I use is alcohol (exept for anti pych and anti depressants) but only once a week, I have been doing this for a while. I heard it interferes with the medication I take. my question is will my medication make my brain right the next day after the hangover. So can I be completely normal say 2 days after drinking. I know it’s not good for me but I just don’t know how bad. Thank’s doc.
Glad I don’t drink. In Scotland we have a heavy drink culture. I never drank heavily though. When I had kids I realised the pointlessness of it since I could never enjoy a hangover. lol. Saves a lot of money not drinking.
by the way, do you drink alcohol?
not at all
Mark, keep in mind that aripiprazole is being investigated as a cure for alcoholism.
have you heard about baclofen ?
it’s a medicine discovered in 2004 for its properties in alcoholism treatment. human experiment has begun, but it is not controlled by physicians. People are testing it on themselves and it works (100% of the patients are now sobber!) I’m one of them. I was a great alcoholic ( 3 cures ), nothing worked. I was under several medical treatments : no results. In two months, baclofen did the job. you should read “the end of my addiction” by Olivier Ameisen
(4/4) i destroyed my life.. i cant stop thinking about her. i want to put the clocks back…every cell of my body want to put the clocks back. stop usinh alkohol and benzos for ONLY 2 weeks to be much calmer and self confident in order to be like me, in order to impress her… i’m so lonely i was stupid… only 2 week to fully recover

wtf? where is the rest of my text..? i wrote that i use only 2 times a weekd benzodazepines and 2 times a week alkohol ..this makes me nervous and less self ocnfidence, low mood. i met the most beautiful girl i have ever seen. and due to using to much alkohol (exces amount to the point of 3 promiles each time) i wasn’t like me, strange behavior. i didn’t impress her and she escaped after 2 month.
and i needed only 2 weeks of no using benzo and alc to fully recover and to be like old me !!
