i was hooked for 6 years, you will soon grow out of it. Methadone saved my life, im not saying methadone is for everyone but i had to do it, i was too hooked mentaly and methadone helps me say NO to the shit….havent seen a needle go in my arm for a year now. ppl say methadone is just legale heroin but thats not true, methadone doesnt get you high, now i look back and think “what the hell was i doing”, i nealy fukn died more than once but i was too stoned to give a shit.

Yea the high is good but then comes the lowest low that perpetuates until you’ve wasted away because the grip it takes on your soul after merely a few days is one that just fucking refuses to EVER let go. And you may want to stop, but it’s withdrawal agony that keeps you on it for so long. Not to mention that there are ignorant pricks that think they’re better than everyone or that they have a right to judge, and bc of this, people don’t get help out of shame. It’s a sad thing. Plz don’t do it.
I’m currently on suboxone for the same condition. I chose suboxone over methadone because everyone i know (including my best friend’s mother who’s a drug counselor and works at a methadone clinic) tells me that methadone is harder to get off of than heroin. You’re probably the first person I’ve heard to ever talk about methadone like it’s a good thing that you can eventually get off of. Which begs the question, are you still on it?

all my friends are on suby but my doctor said methadone would suit me better and it did, im the only one out of my friends that no longer shoot drugs, my mates are still hooked. There is nothing you can tell me about methadone i dont already know, . Not only was i a heroin user, i was prescribed oxycontin for pain, i broke my hip in 3 places, The methadone helps. Im clean, my mates who are on suby arnt (2 have died in the past year). methadone is the reason im still breathing.
I’m very happy to hear that it got you off of the junk (and they call it junk for a good reason). You are right though, some people are better suited for methadone. Especially if their tolerance is extremely high because then suboxone won’t be sufficient. I’m glad to hear that you were able to escape the addiction. It really is a bitch. So when you say you’re clean, you don’t mean just from heroin, but methadone as well? Because if you did get off methadone, I’d like to know how you did it.

To all seeking help with opiates: You need to look into treatment with a drug called Ibogaine. Ibogaine is an addiction interruptor, not a maintenance drug like methadone or suboxone. Ibogaine will stop your withdrawal,elevate your mood, and stop cravings. I have Ibogaine videos faved on my chanel. It is not legal in the U.S., but there are clinics in Mexico. Two I know of are 1. It’s easy to be insensitive when you’ve never been there. Most people will only have opinions and sarcasm to offer. From EXPERIENCE, I can tell you that we addicts DO get clean. Recovery IS possible. Narcotics Anonymous DOES work and there are millions who can attest to this FACT! If you’re addicted and reading this, please find a local meeting. Reach out, and do what they tell you. Kicking sucks….but it is SO well worth it. Big love and best wishes to you all. We DO recover!
